I have multiple bicycles and ride them according to my preferences.
But after selling the bicycle I spent the most time on, I don't feel like riding anymore.
Even last weekend the weather was nice, but I just stayed home.
Even though I have three other bicycles, I barely went outside at all.
After trading the bicycle on the weekend and coming home, my heart feels empty and deflated.
I had the thought dozens of times of contacting them again to say I'd return the money and cancel the transaction.
I plan to reassemble a high-end bicycle in a few days, but strangely, instead of feeling excited or anticipating it,
I just feel indifferent.
This sense of melancholy from letting go of a first love seems like it will linger for quite a while.
