Trump Orders Crackdown on Defense Industry Stock Buybacks

The president is expected to set a cap on executive compensation in the defense industry through an executive order and will require defense contractors to invest in expanding production capacity.
"All U.S. defense contractors, and the entire defense industry, be warned. We are making the world's best military equipment (unlike any other country!), but defense companies are sacrificing money that should be invested in factories and facilities while paying out huge dividends to shareholders and engaging in large-scale stock buybacks," President Trump said in a post on 'Truth Social' before the details of the executive order were released. "This situation will no longer be tolerated or accepted!" (?)
