Approximately 1,500 to 2,000 Korean companies have invested in and expanded into Indonesia (as of 2019).
The Surabaya Trade Office, with Indonesia's future potential in mind, was established as the second office following the Jakarta Trade Office,
and is actively engaged in collecting and disseminating information to support economic exchanges and expansion of trade and investment between East Java and Korea, discovering promising export products,
and conducting activities to support export marketing and local investment expansion.
