This is a story about a group of 6(?) people on a road cycling tour team that was traveling on a road next to Cheoncheon River in Goesan-gun, North Chungcheong Province, around 2 PM today, heading from Gamul toward Goesan-eup.
The road is one lane in each direction.
I've ridden bicycles for a long time and done many long-distance rides, but this is the first time I've seen such an exemplary team.
Everyone was wearing safety vests.
The front and rear members communicated with vehicles using clear hand signals.
Despite the blazing sun, they had a joyful and lively atmosphere.
The middle members showed hand gestures asking for safe passage to the overtaking vehicles and oncoming cars.
It was really the kind of atmosphere where cars were being careful first, but it didn't feel unpleasant.
My wife and I were in our car, and I excitedly told my usually worried wife about the cycling experience as if to show her^^
