Kang Hun-sik, Blue House Chief Presidential Secretary and Presidential Special Envoy for Strategic Economic Cooperation, is departing for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the 24th. This is to conduct follow-up implementation consultations in accordance with the summit between President Lee Jae-myung, who visited the UAE last year in a state visit capacity, and the UAE.
Secretary-General Kang Hun-sik said through Facebook on the day, "To conduct follow-up measures and practical consultations following the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit and UAE state visit, and to make a reciprocal visit in response to Chief Administrator Kaldon's visit to Korea, I am departing as a Presidential Special Envoy for Strategic Economic Cooperation for a 1 night 3 day trip," adding "I will make efforts to expand cooperation in the fields of defense, AI (artificial intelligence), nuclear power, and K-culture, and especially to create tangible results where South Korea and the UAE jointly enter third countries by combining technology and capital."
