Hello, I'm someone who rides on the road using TT-style equipment. I've had the Aevex 1.5 for about 9 months, so I wanted to write a long-term review.
Advantage 1: No need to bring goggles or worry about losing them
Advantage 2: It has a decent design among TT helmets
Advantage 3: While the difference may not be huge, there's definitely a clear difference compared to regular helmets when holding the TT bar
Advantage 4: When wearing bone conduction earphones, wind noise is much less, resulting in cleaner sound quality
Advantage 5: It's not excessively heavy. There's not much difference compared to the Aevex 3
Advantage 6: It's very good in winter or when it's cold
Disadvantage 1: It's hot in summer
Disadvantage 1: When it rains, visibility is almost zero. Also, it's impossible to wear the visor backwards, so you have to hold the visor in your hand while riding
Disadvantage 2: It seems like you could wear it with glasses, but then the visor hits the glasses and scratches appear on the visor. Also, it's uncomfortable
Disadvantage 3: For people like me who breathe through their mouth due to rhinitis or other conditions, the visor fogs up significantly. It's tolerable while riding, but it fogs up a lot when stopped or on humid days
Disadvantage 4: It's expensive. Currently, you have to pay 400,000 won, plus 50,000 won for night-time clear lenses
Disadvantage 5: Since there's no photochromic lens, it's inconvenient for long rides from morning to evening
Conclusion: It's a decent choice for those who find it bothersome to match colors with TT bikes or wear goggles, but it's not a suitable helmet for regular road riders. However, it's very good when wearing bone conduction earphones
