My impressions of upgrading from an aluminum bike to carbon bike and carbon wheels

122
Hello.

In my 20s when I knew nothing about bicycles,
Among the bikes from my apartment complex being sold for 2,000 won before going to the junkyard,

I started with a 26" hardtail Deore 3×9

After doing 50km one-way bike commutes and cycling along the Four Major Rivers,
I discovered road bikes and opened my eyes to road cycling

I adopted a used 26" aluminum Claris 2×8 as my entry-level road bike
and experienced a whole new world

I started getting the upgrade itch and became interested in carbon bikes, but
after changing jobs, my commute route has unpaved sections and rough concrete with poor road conditions

So I got a 29" carbon hardtail

Up until then, I didn't feel much affection for carbon bikes

Because I had too many bikes

26" aluminum hardtail
29" carbon hardtail
Claris aluminum road bike
Mini velo for casual use

After sorting out and getting rid of the 26" hardtail and aluminum road bike, it somehow felt too empty

So I bought a used bike with carbon wheel setup from Danggeun

I took it out today

Well, it's a completely different level compared to the bikes I rode before.

It's like going from grilling Australian beef in a frying pan to grilling premium Korean beef on charcoal?

It's like going from eating cheap beer with delivery jjajangmyeon to eating bird's nest at a 450,000 won per person hotel Chinese course?

Anyway.... I've become someone who can never return to the past again.

haha wow

I'm curious about what a bike in the tens of millions of won would feel like,
But I'll restrain myself at this level.
