This Chrome extension uses a local LLM (OpenAI format),
You can summarize text, analyze images, and check grammar and spelling in writing.
Because all requests can be customized with user prompts,
various applications are possible, such as specifying a prompt for translation instead of summarization.
We support Korean and English with i18n applied.
Now image processing is also possible.
Right-click on an image to analyze it using a vision model.
The default prompt is "Please describe this image in detail." but you can set it differently.
You no longer need to worry about spelling and grammar mistakes!
You can right-click in the text input field to enhance text with AI.
The corrected content is automatically replaced.
The AI text enhancement prompt can also be customized. The current prompt is as follows.
"Please improve the following text to be clearer, more professional, and well-structured. Please return the improved text only in JSON format with an "enhanced_text" key: "

# Local AI Assistant (LLM)
A Chrome extension that provides AI-based text processing, image analysis, and text enhancement using a local LLM server.

## Requirements
- Local LLM server with OpenAI-compatible API (e.g., LM Studio, Ollama)

## Installation
1. Clone or download this repository
2. Open `chrome://extensions/` in Chrome
3. Enable "Developer Mode"
4. Click "Load unpacked extension" and select the `Local-AI-Assistant` folder
## Usage
### Text Processing
1. Select text on a webpage
2. Right-click → "Process with Local AI Assistant"
3. A chat window with AI response opens
### Image Analysis (Vision Mode)
1. Enable "Vision Mode" in the extension settings
2. Right-click on an image → "Analyze image with Vision AI"
3. A chat window with image analysis opens
### Text Enhancement
1. Enable "Text Enhancement" in the extension settings
2. Enter text in an input field
3. Right-click → "Enhance text with AI"
4. Text is automatically improved
## Settings
Click the extension icon to configure:
- **Server Address**: LLM server address (default: `localhost:1234`)
- **Model Key**: Specify model name if multiple models are loaded
- **Max Tokens**: Maximum response length
- **Temperature**: Response creativity (0-2)
- **System Role**: Custom system prompt
- **Request Prefix**: Prefix added before selected text
