Body Specs: Height 177cm, Weight 82kg
Bicycle: 2021 Trek Emonda SL5 (seatpost, handlebars, saddle, and stem changed to carbon)
Previous Wheels: Bontrager Aeolus Pro 37 (was surprised when I first rode it even though it came with aluminum rim wheels initially^^)
Wheels: Successfully purchased Aviav Adeon4 on launch day at Koki Bike (located 1km from my area)
Tires: Changed from complimentary Schwalbe One tubeless tires to Schwalbe Pro One clincher tires by paying an additional 3,600 won
Due to the tire change, I visited the shop on June 2nd, which was somewhat late, and they kindly assisted me even though it was near closing time
I did a rough inspection of the wheel condition, and although there was a slight finish flaw at the rim edge, I decided to just go with it
Afterwards, they applied rim tape and were about to install the tires, but due to my lack of preparation, I went home and installed them myself
Installed with Ride Now TPU tubes myself
After installation, using the crude method of (body+bicycle)-(body), the entire bicycle weight (including pedals, 2 bottle cages, and various mounts) came out to 8kg
Quite satisfied
Impressions after 50km ride following wheel set change
1. Amazed by the comfortable ride feel (Schwalbe Pro One 28C clincher with rear air pressure 68psi front 65psi)
2. The uphill climbs that were previously difficult became over 50% easier - amazed by the lightweight wheel set effect
3. Surprised by how light it felt during intervals due to the previous wheel set (seems like it will take some time to adapt, could be perceived as lacking stiffness)
4. At speeds above 35km, I strongly felt aerodynamic efficiency I had never experienced before (this is my first time using 37mm+ rim height)
On roads with very good surface conditions, the bicycle slides forward smoothly (completely blown away here)
The feeling is like the bicycle keeps wanting to go forward and drags my lower body, but my upper body feels like brakes are being applied
5. Now I can drop the friend I couldn't catch up to before (the most satisfying part~~^^)
That concludes my late review of the Adeon4
See you all~~^^
ps: The reason I'm writing this review is to apply for the Aviav carbon bottle cage~~^^
