General Motors (GM) is halting operations at its electric vehicle (EV) plant and laying off over 1,000 workers temporarily.
GM announced on the 30th (local time) that it will suspend operations at its Detroit electric vehicle plant until April 13 and temporarily lay off approximately 1,300 workers. This measure extends the production halt that began on March 16.
