We should go with gratitude for hosting the competition...
Every time there's a change, we've been asking questions, calling, and complaining,
and if the competition doesn't even happen, wouldn't that also be quite a significant loss?
It's not like we're trying to do a media appearance, taking time off work, flying there, staying overnight, having the race suddenly end, and hastily buying a carrying bag to take home,
but still, what can we do? The organizers say they're doing it with safety in mind...
We've left inquiries asking them to consider safety, so wouldn't the organizers have considered that too?
The changes that came about are truly regrettable,
but for those not going, please relax and do carbo-loading,
and for those going, let's all drive safely including myself!!
