I tried using Codex for the first time.

I was greatly disappointed with Gemini CLI and canceled my subscription, and then became interested in Codex and decided to subscribe.

Yesterday, when I tried to make a payment on mobile, I thought the web might be cheaper, so I went to the web version, and there it was offering "Why not try it free for a month?"
There was no reason to refuse, so I quickly said yes and proceeded with the installation.
After having it fix up a Chrome extension I had made before and roughly finishing, I had already used up my 5-hour session limit.
Since GPT-5.4 is in the same position as Opus, it seems to consume a lot.
The consumption itself wasn't at Opus level but felt more like Sonnet level.
And the next day, since GPT-5.4's usage felt burdensome, I switched the model to GPT-5.4 mini.

I turned on Codex and showed it the extension program we made and our wiki, then asked it to suggest things if it had any insights.
It gave me suggestions like 3 useful proposals, 3 proposals that could make money, that kind of thing.
I didn't particularly want to make money from the extension, but among the money-making proposals, it recommended a general-purpose scraping extension.
It seems it probably got insights from what I had reversed and fixed with Claude and Obsidian Web Clipper this morning.
When I told it to proceed, it went ahead with the work really fast—it hasn't been completed yet, but GPT-5.4 mini's speed is incredibly fast, to the point where my eyes can't keep up.
All I could do was say things like "go ahead," "check it," "okay," "put this instead of that"—that seemed to be the extent of my involvement.
Once the work is complete, the next step is this, and it proceeds like that, so there's really not much for me to intervene in.
I don't know how it will turn out since the final product hasn't come out yet, but it's really amazing.
