Whether Trump ends the war or flees, high oil prices seem like they will become everyday reality now.
Iran will charge ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz for war reconstruction costs
and other Middle Eastern countries also seem likely to address war damage recovery costs through high oil prices.
Until now, they wanted to raise oil prices but couldn't because they were watching Trump's face,
but now that Trump is openly telling them to handle it themselves, they have a good excuse.
No matter how much Trump tries to control oil prices because of the midterm elections,
the remaining countries trying to fend for themselves have survival at stake,
so it won't work no matter what he says.
The problem going forward is that Trump seems to have written off the midterm elections entirely,
and I'm worried whether he will attempt abnormal reckless actions to make up for it.
Plus, only about 3 years are left now.;
