The new volume of Toemagrok (The Exorcist Chronicles) was released today. I haven't written about the content of the new work, but the ending of the previous work may contain spoilers, so please beware of spoilers.

First of all, the previous work ended with the "End of Days" arc, which concluded with an open ending. I thought that was the end of it, and afterward, spin-off volumes 1 and 2 of Toemagrok were released. Volumes 1 and 2 were stories about the characters, and...
I noticed that spin-off volume 3 came out. I usually use Millie's Library, and since it was uploaded there, I read it. When I read it, I found that the content of spin-off volume 3 connects to the open ending of the last part of the End of Days arc... It covers what happened afterward, and the deaths of the exorcists excluding those on Junho's side.
In the prologue, it says that the exorcists who had died will become mentors, and in the content of spin-off volume 3, they travel to a multiverse. They meet a certain guardian, and with that guardian's power, they create a second Earth, go back to the past, and save those exorcists. The character "Okgyeol," who appears there as the guardian of heavenly secrets, is the son of "Eun-dong," the main character from the author's other work, Waeran Jongyeolcha (The End of the Japanese Invasion).
It's content that will likely divide opinions a lot. It also feels rather out of nowhere. From the author's perspective, it probably felt like too much of a burden to start a new story while leaving beloved characters like Father Park, Hyeonam, and Seunghee dead.
If you plan to read the new volume, it seems you'll need to understand this part beforehand.
