In an environment where I don't have much financial room to spare, I want to prepare for retirement and buy a house before my children grow older, so I'm filled with greed.
I have experience where my assets collapsed in the typical beginner's trap during the COVID period.
At first, I test with a small seed, but it does very well. Then greed kicks in.
I borrow money and increase the seed, but usually this timing is likely to be near the peak.
This is partly because beginners often miss the very early stage and board due to FOMO.
Critically, beginners don't realize that while they're inexperienced, it's the market that's been feeding them.
Usually they think they have a talent for investing and imagine unrealistic things, and after seeing several sharp rises in their account,
they feel full even without eating, imagine retiring in a few years, and make quite a fuss while
having an enjoyable time. Then the decline begins mysteriously.
An investor's capital is at the peak, so I get anxious and want to recover, and if I touch leverage even slightly,
real hell begins, and even the account can be completely wiped out. If margin leverage is used incorrectly,
the account melts like ice cream.
I've been hit hard twice—after the COVID peak decline and after the Ukraine war broke out—and nearly
my account went to the point of no recovery, but I managed to survive through sheer stubbornness, but now I'm always cautious
and afraid, and even when the account grows, I don't get excited. I endure to live and live to endure.
Survival is the priority, not breaking is the most important, and only then can I enjoy compound interest, so I must keep this in mind
and continue well.
Actually, with crypto, because I moved my wallet during the Bithumb incident, it's a severe loss. (ㅠㅠ)
