On the 27th (local time), Reuters reported that MS and OpenAI renegotiated the existing contract terms. The structure in which MS exclusively sold OpenAI's AI models was eased, allowing OpenAI to provide its products on competing cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud in the future.
According to the revised contract disclosed by both parties, MS maintains its position as OpenAI's main cloud partner. OpenAI products will be launched on MS Azure first in principle. However, if MS does not support the necessary functions or decides not to support them, OpenAI can provide its products on other clouds.
