Donald Trump, the US president, reaffirmed the US principle that Iran should not possess nuclear weapons and claimed that Iran agreed to this during negotiations.
President Trump met with reporters at a White House event on June 6th local time and said, "Iran should not have nuclear weapons, and will not have them," adding that "they also agreed to this point along with several other matters."
He continued, "We've had very good conversations over the past 24 hours" and "the possibility of an agreement is very high."
