Manners? Consideration?

Recently, someone wrote a post on Dossah saying that what's important seems to be the tone of voice.

I think most people who read it would have sympathized with it.

As mentioned in that post, even with the same content, depending on how you express it,

it could lead to "Yes, I see, thank you," or it could evoke a feeling of "Why can they only speak like that..."

When I first accessed Dossah, I also experienced quite a cultural(?) shock.

People react sharply to each line, or even each character of someone else's writing, leaving aggressive comments as if they were in battle, sometimes ridiculing...

So at first, even after joining, I felt burdened not only by posting common question threads, but even by writing comments.

There were times I thought, did only crazy people gather here???

However, from the perspective of a road cycling enthusiast, there's nowhere else like Dossah, so before I knew it, reading Dossah posts became part of my daily routine,

and the shock I first felt disappeared, I became indifferent, and now I just accept it as is... ㅋ

However, sometimes when I see posts that go too far, I can't help but feel annoyed.

I've always been curious, people who write like that... would they speak like that in front of the other person??

And if they do that in person... would they really treat others like that in their daily life?

Thinking about this, I came to my own conclusion... I will only write what I could do in front of the other person.

Well... I also recently took someone's post as is, changed only parts of it, and targeted them.

So, could I do that with the target of that post in front of me, like I wrote?

Well... I probably couldn't right when I first meet them, but if that person keeps saying things I don't understand every time we meet... then maybe I would say something.

The purpose of writing this post?? It's nothing special.

I might meet that person I ridiculed at the next group ride...

Maybe we ridicule each other anonymously on Dossah, while in reality we ride bikes together every week ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

We are people with the same hobby, and I hope we don't sharpen our words too much with each other, but exchange words and writing in a gentler and warmer way.

While I'm at it, I should also reflect a bit by rereading my posts and comments.

Have a good rest of your afternoon, everyone.
