1. Status of Executive Recommendation Committee Members
- The names, affiliations, positions, and occupations of recommendation committee members are subject to non-disclosure under Article 9, Paragraph 1, Item 6 of the "Act on Disclosure of Information Held by Public Institutions," and we appreciate your understanding. However, the committee composition and fields of origin are as follows.
- The Non-Executive Director Recommendation Committee consists of a total of 5 members, comprised of 2 non-executive directors from the agency (1 from bureaucratic background, 1 from academia), and 3 external members (1 from labor sector, 1 from academia, 1 from legal profession).
2. Verification of Legal Basis for Committee Composition
- Although non-executive directors of the Low-Income Financial Promotion Agency have no obligation to establish a recommendation committee under relevant laws, we have established the committee in accordance with the same requirements as the Executive Recommendation Committee for the appointment of the President and Auditor in accordance with the "Executive Recommendation Committee Operating Regulations" to ensure fairness in the appointment process. The relevant requirements (Articles 4, Paragraphs 1 through 4 of the "Executive Recommendation Committee Operating Regulations") are as follows.
- "Executive Recommendation Committee Operating Regulations," Article 4 (Composition) ① The committee shall consist of non-executive directors (excluding non-executive directors who are staff of the agency; hereinafter the same) and members appointed by the board of directors (hereinafter referred to as "external members"), and the total number of members shall be 5, including 1 chair. In this case, external members shall be 2 or more. ② Notwithstanding Paragraph 1, if there are no non-executive directors at the time of committee composition, the committee may be composed of only external members. ③ The chair of the committee shall be elected by ballot among the committee members from non-executive directors. However, in the case where the committee is composed of only external members in accordance with Paragraph 2, the chair shall be elected by ballot among the committee members from external members. ④ The committee members shall be composed in a balanced manner considering the characteristics of the agency, gender, region, age, etc. In this case, the ratio of male or female members shall not exceed 80 percent of the total number of members.
