
I received this email. It seems they are organizing and redirecting resources to less used or older models.
Models that aren't well-used might be good for me during peak times, but from the company's perspective, maintaining those requires computing power which could be better utilized elsewhere, especially when computer parts prices are fluctuating wildly and hard to come by these days.
It would be nice to have a system at home that can run such models without generating much heat or noise.
In 20 years, will we live in a world where running those models on-device becomes easy and commonplace???
