As a hobby, I'm trying to make an iPad app by running Qwen3.6. I installed Ubuntu on Region Go1 and I'm running a 3090 while coding with Vibe on my MacBook. I'm still a beginner, so I installed the Cline extension in VSCode, and it's doing better than I expected.
Initially, I was using 350 watts at full power, but I lowered it to 180 watts. Even with that reduction, the performance degradation isn't significant. I set it up to run code and occasionally give it commands through Jump Desktop, and it works really well. I wonder at what wattage I'll start noticing a performance drop haha. The eGPU I impulsively bought years ago for a flight sim project is really paying off.
