I'm a current PO and development team lead.
There are about 1X people total, and all job categories are mixed.
Starting from the second half of last year, I was instructed to increase the proportion of AI coding PRs, but by late last year and early this year, I realized it just wasn't working, so since February I've been changing the entire development process to an AI-led development process.
Once a task is selected from the backlog, AI handles everything from PRD, UX draft, frontend, backend, WBS, actual coding, PR, to QA.
What people do is only make important decisions at each stage. This has become incredibly important, and the required skill sets of team members vary accordingly. 70% are keeping up, but 30% can't keep pace.
Anyway. Two major bottlenecks have been discovered here.
UI work that goes through Figma, and explosively increased PR reviews.
The latter can be solved by using Claude's code review (expecting 3 million won per month)
But the Figma-related side doesn't seem to have an answer.
So I even built a separate tool. I made it so AI could replicate the existing design system as much as possible.
Select elements from the draft, add detailed instruction comments, and provide context in the comments with detailed design, screen references from existing repo code, Figma layouts, etc. so it can generate as close to the intention as possible. (I'm not a developer, but it took two days...)
It would be great if this works well, but if I'm still not satisfied...
Right now I'm at a crossroads of whether to completely give up on fine-grained UI design or just have to grind people through it.
Change happens in an instant. I'm realizing that what matters is will and execution ability, and everything else is secondary.
If you have any good ideas or tools that could solve the Figma bottleneck, I'd appreciate a recommendation...
