Gemini recommended Gemini, so I didn't trust it and asked ChatGPT, but it also recommended Gemini. So I gave up on Claude and started with Gemini.
When you subscribe to Gemini Pro
They give $10 API credits per month.
I started an instance on GitHub Codespaces
and installed Gemini CLI to finish up, but
They added CLI usage for Pro subscribers.
After finishing the setup up to that point and saving the project overview and progress status in a .md file, I wrapped up for today.
It took exactly two and a half hours up to this point
Developing on a 4th generation iPad Pro from 2020, and since the terminal is free and I can use Gemini's web version, API, and CLI all for £18.99 a month, it's very reassuring
It's truly the golden age of development, I admit it.
