It has been confirmed as a problem caused by Cinnamon 6.6's new features?
I'm using LMDE 7
Since it's Mint + Debian,
Mint 22.3 release-related updates (Cinnamon, X App?, etc.)
Debian 13.3 point update (kernel, LibreOffice, etc. minor)
Mint update came first, followed by Debian update
I have a problem with ibus Korean/English switching not working
im-config works (same as control panel Korean input settings),
ibus-setup also works, input settings are fine
The Taegeuk mark in the taskbar doesn't respond
Korean/English switching doesn't work so Korean input doesn't work
Mint update: Korean/English switching had no problems
After Debian update: Korean/English switching doesn't work
I tried a few things with Google searches related to ibus but it didn't work,
I tried reverting to the previous kernel but it didn't work,
Perhaps during the Debian update,
It seems related to security and minor update dependencies? other than the kernel?
But I just switched to fcitx and I'm using it well
Debian ibus works normally even after updates
Could it be an environment difference between gnome (wayland) and Cinnamon (x11)? I wonder
It's still early,
Are Cinnamon environment users also a minority?, ibus Asian language pack users are also a minority? so there aren't many Q&As
Or it could be a problem only on my PC
I'm using fcitx, but sometimes it seems like Korean/English switching gets skipped occasionally
If there are Debian-based x11 environment users,
Does ibus work well after this 13.3 update?
=============================================================================
Previously in ibus input settings
I would delete Korean kr and keep only Korean Hangul and use it like this
It seems to have changed a bit in Cinnamon 6.6
A "Korean Input Settings" item was added to the Control Panel keyboard
The default value there was Korean kr,
After adding Korean Hangul and deleting Korean kr
Korean/English switching works as before
The existing settings in ibus-setup are separate, left is the existing settings, right is the control panel keyboard settings
Default value of Control Panel - Keyboard Settings
State with Korean Hangul added and Korean kr removed
