I recently upgraded from 1g LAN to 2.5g.
However, when I accidentally checked the router log, there was a line that kept causing connection speed problems.
Since it was a low-cost LAN cable over 10m long, I thought it might be a quality issue, so I replaced it with a spare cable for testing and it was resolved.
While throwing away the problematic LAN cable, I found a LAN extension socket in the middle.
Just in case, I removed the socket and connected the problematic LAN cable again, and the problem disappeared.
Perhaps this previous 1g network also experienced intermittent problems.
I have a few more extension sockets, so I guess I'll just throw them away.
