Indonesia's Ministry of Law has designated former Trade Minister Tom Lembong as a suspect in corruption allegations related to sugar imports from 2015-2023. According to the investigation, Lembong is accused of providing favorable treatment to specific private companies in the import approval process. The ministry stated that the case resulted in approximately 400 billion rupiah in state losses.
