Korean Youth Association in Indonesia Reaffirms New Leap at 2026 New Year's Meeting and Regular General Assembly

The Korean Youth Association in Indonesia held a gathering for unity to assess the achievements of the past year and prepare for a new leap forward as it welcomed 2026. On January 27, the association held its '2026 New Year's Meeting and 2025 Second Half Regular General Assembly' led by its leadership including President Lee Seung-su, Executive Vice President Lee Dong-gyu, and Vice President Son Hyun-mok.
At this general assembly, reports on 2025's major project achievements and finances were presented, and the 2026 operational plans were announced. In particular, the youth association under President Lee Seung-su's leadership has served as a role model for the Korean community during the past year by carrying out various social contribution activities to help vulnerable populations in Indonesia through visits to orphanages and volunteer work. In recognition of these contributions, Secretary General Choi Min-hwan received an ambassadorial commendation on behalf of the Korean Youth Association at the New Year's Courtesy Ceremony on January 7.
To celebrate this event, former leadership including President Kim Jong-heon of the Korean Association in Indonesia, Honorary President Lee Jin-soo, the inaugural Korean Youth Association president, and past presidents including the association's fourth president graced the gathering. Additionally, Counselor Park Su-deok from the Korean Embassy in Indonesia attended as well, encouraging the activities of young Korean residents and spending a meaningful time together.
President Lee Seung-su stated, "The achievements of 2025 are thanks to the dedicated participation of our members," and expressed his commitment to "continue genuine volunteer and sponsorship activities together with Executive Vice President Lee Dong-gyu and Vice President Son Hyun-mok in 2026 while expanding our positive influence on Indonesian society."
