US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to reduce import tariffs worth US$30 billion as part of a broader trade deal. The agreement also includes the establishment of a trade council and ongoing dialogue on artificial intelligence technology. Both countries agreed to extend the trade truce for two months, providing time for further negotiations.
