Ambassador Yoon Soon-gu met with Yuliot Tanjung, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources on September 23 (Sat) and had in-depth discussions on cooperation measures in the energy and resources sector between the two countries. Ambassador Yoon assessed that Indonesia is a crucial energy and resource supplier for Korea and urged cooperation to ensure smooth supply and demand in the future.
Deputy Minister Tanjung evaluated the participation of Korean companies in hydropower development projects and expressed hope for further investment by Korean companies in areas such as power generation, upstream oil and gas. The two sides also exchanged views on cooperation measures in the nuclear power sector.
This meeting is considered a good opportunity to explore new cooperation measures in the energy and resources sector.
