The National Institute of Korean Language
has revised and announced the 「Guidelines for Operating Korean Language Education Practicum Courses as a Foreign Language」.
Up to now, it was conducted through online observation + online mock classes
the practicum subject will change to full in-person classes starting in 2027.
In other words, now is essentially the last time you can complete the practicum online,
if you start with a class beginning in May or June,
you can complete prerequisite courses and participate in online practicum by the end of 2026.

Korean Language Teacher Level 2 Acquisition Process
- Associate degree or higher: 15 online courses + 1 practicum course
- Approximately 2-semester program (approximately 1 year)
※ The acquisition period varies depending on final education level.
- Bachelor's degree: approximately 8-12 months
- Associate degree: approximately 1.5-2 years
- High school diploma: approximately 2-3 years
If you meet the qualification requirements,
you can apply for Korean Language Teacher Level 2 certification through review by the National Institute of Korean Language.^^
