AI-generated Markdown (.md) documents are great, but they often need a second look when it comes to reading. If there are many formulas and tables or you need to compare multiple documents, it's important to have a screen that makes it easy for humans to review the Markdown source.
That's why I created the Chrome extension Markdown Leader, updating it to version 1.2.0. This tool is designed with the workflow in mind of opening Markdown documents from a local folder as tabs, leaving checkboxes and notes to mark points for review, and then requesting AI re-review.
What's New in 1.2.0
Upon launch, you can immediately see a modal with the update change log.
You can now adjust the line spacing in the reading view to your desired value, and this same value will be applied to A4 previews and PDFs.
We've improved MathJax formula numbering and referencing for more stable readability.
Tables now have shorter columns that don't unnecessarily expand, and the description column adjusts its width to fit the content.
Workflow for Reviewing AI-Generated Documents
Open documents from a folder, keeping necessary ones open as tabs. Checkboxes and review notes are only reflected in the original document if you grant Chrome permissions. Use these checked points and notes as a basis to request further AI review.
Custom Line Spacing for Each Document
Everyone has their preferred line spacing when reading. In the settings, set your desired value, which will be applied not only to the reading view but also to A4 previews and PDFs. This ensures consistency when sharing documents with colleagues who don't use Markdown or MD files.
Document Processing Within Your Browser
Markdown Leader does not transmit document content to any external accounts or developer servers. The checkbox and note functions for editing files only work if you grant Chrome permissions, and the tool stops saving if it detects external modification conflicts.
