I went to Yangji Pine 1st course for a quick meeting with acquaintances.
As I had expected from the reviews before going, it wasn't that great. 'Don't blame someone else's layout, blame your own skills'... Cool.
Tee box : As far as I remember, they were all practice mats (or mats mimicking artificial turf). Among them, some places had a slight unevenness that made the stance uncomfortable.
Fairway & Rough : The condition was okay, but the rough was too long and it wasn't easy to find the ball. I completely understand why pro Lim Jin-han said you should hit the ball onto the fairway...
Green & Surroundings : The green condition was better than I thought. There weren't many divots either. The problem was the surroundings of the green, where the bottom was all exposed and the hardness was very stiff, making it difficult to approach. It was so hard that the wedge would bounce right off.
Others : It was very accessible as it was close to the highway IC, and there was a village (?) right in front of the golf course, so it was okay for meals.
I'm going to use the layout as an excuse to comfort myself for scoring 10 strokes higher than usual due to frequent approach failures~
* The weather was nice today. I was the only one wearing shorts... ㅎ
