Ambassador Yoon Soon-gu visited North Sumatra Province for the first time on September 8 (Friday) and met with Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, Governor of North Sumatra, that evening. They discussed cooperation between Korea and Indonesia in the fields of healthcare and infrastructure.
Regarding Governor Bobby's ongoing policy to improve healthcare in North Sumatra, the two sides agreed to work closely together through Korea's support for building medical infrastructure.
Immediately after the meeting, Ambassador Yoon and Governor Bobby witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Discussion (MOD) between the EDCF Jakarta Office of Korea Eximbank and the North Sumatra Provincial Planning, Research and Innovation Agency (Bapperida) for the "Medan Haji Comprehensive Hospital Expansion Project." This marked a concrete cooperation plan in the field of healthcare infrastructure between the two sides.
