This program is an audition-style journey for performers of various nationalities to form a Korean traditional music band. Participants not only play instruments but continue new musical challenges through understanding Korean traditional music and creative interpretation.

The 'Sound Trek' audition venue was like a small music festival. When participants first encountered unfamiliar Korean traditional instruments, they couldn't hide their mixed expressions of tension and excitement. Some sparkled with admiration at the beautiful tone of the gayageum, while others earnestly nodded their heads to learn the rhythm without missing the jangdan.
When they took the stage, the participants' faces shone with the passion of challenge instead of fear. Their efforts to display their own musical color while handling unfamiliar instruments came through clearly to the audience. The sight of laughing off mistakes and continuing to play, the small ensemble created by breathing together, made the audience feel the new charm that Korean traditional music possesses.
