ASEAN Korea Mission Senior Researcher Recruitment
The ASEAN Korea Mission (located in Jakarta, Indonesia) is recruiting a senior researcher. Interested candidates are requested to submit the necessary documents to kor_asean@mofa.go.kr by January 15, 2015 (Thursday).

1. Number of Positions: 1 (Senior Researcher)
ㅇ Selection will be based on document review, interview and language test (telephone or face-to-face).
ㅇ The final successful candidate will begin work around the end of February 2015 after completing necessary hiring procedures.
ㅇ Contract period: 1 year (renewable annually based on performance evaluation)
2. Qualifications
ㅇ PhD holder in a relevant field (international relations, etc.), Master's degree holder with at least 3 years of experience in the relevant field, licensed professional (lawyer, accountant, etc.), or individual with at least 3 years of experience as a specialist or equivalent position in an overseas mission.
ㅇ Fluent English speaker (capable of conducting meetings and drafting official documents and reports) and preference for candidates specializing in ASEAN affairs.
ㅇ Preference will be given to candidates with research achievements, reports, and publications in relevant fields.
※ The Mission covers the ASEAN Secretariat and the selected candidate will be responsible for attending work-related meetings, providing interview support, conducting ASEAN-related research and investigations, drafting official documents, and performing other tasks.
3. Compensation
ㅇ Salary: Up to USD 5,000 per month (adjusted according to experience)
※ Includes housing allowance, bonus, social security, medical insurance, overtime pay, etc.
ㅇ Airfare (from Korea): Round-trip airfare (one-way airfare will be reimbursed if the employment period is less than one year) and return airfare (supported after 3 years of service).
ㅇ Others: "Overseas Mission Accounting Procedure" and “Overseas Mission Administrative Staff Operation Guidelines” apply.
4. Selection Process
ㅇ 1st Stage: Document Review
ㅇ 2nd Stage: Interview/Language Test (individual notification will be sent to candidates who pass the document review)
5. Required Documents (scanned documents should be submitted by email; original documents will be requested upon confirmation of employment)
ㅇ Resume (including a color photograph and contact information for phone and email) 1 copy
ㅇ Self-introduction letter in English and Korean, 1 copy each
ㅇ Graduation certificate and transcript from the last school attended, 1 copy each
ㅇ Documents proving relevant experience (if applicable)
ㅇ Foreign language test score report and copies of any licenses held (if applicable)
※ For PhD and Master's degree holders, please list the titles of your dissertations or reports in the relevant field in your self-introduction letter.
