Can I start SAT now as an 8th or 9th grader?
Actually, I often hear this question while teaching SAT classes.
You might be wondering why everyone around you starts SAT early, and there are mainly two reasons.
✅SAT cannot be crammed for in a short period.
The vocabulary and passages that appear on the SAT contain many expressions not used in daily life,
so even if you try to memorize them through cramming, you often get them wrong.
✅The moment you become an 11th grader, there is absolutely not enough time to prepare for SAT.
Since you need to seriously prepare for college admissions through GPA, AP/IB, EC, competitions, etc.,
SAT overlaps with the busiest time, and often the results don't match the effort put in.
Therefore, it's no exaggeration to say that proper preparation in 8th and 9th grade is the 'foundation of college admissions' for the next 3-4 years of investment.
However, even if you try to start SAT early right away, you fall into a dilemma.
Where should you start? How should you prepare?
This is because it's difficult for 8th and 9th grade students who still lack the fundamentals of Reading/Writing to immediately read complex passages and solve problems.
Veterans Education has taught over 15,248 students for 14 years and found a way to solve this.
Developed the nation's first [Bridge Program] that allows 8th and 9th grade students to perfectly prepare for senior courses, and
this program not only allows you to solidify the basics of "reading comprehension and writing," which are essential for international school students,
but also serves as a bridge to achieve much higher scores on any college admissions subject such as SAT, GPA, TOEFL, IB/AP, etc.
