Hello. I am a Vibe Coder who doesn't know anything about code.
I dabbled in HTML about 20 years ago, and before that, I took BASIC for about a year at a computer academy. I have never learned the programming languages used today or Mac app development.
Since late July this year, I've been having fun making apps with AI. It's so much fun that I often lose sleep at night, constantly creating new things.
At first, I didn't know how to delegate work to AI or divide it up, so I made a lot of mistakes. By repeating the same tasks or assigning unnecessarily long tasks, I ended up buying a considerable amount of additional credits.
After some trial and error, I started treating Codex as the team leader and assigned different tasks to Claude and Gemini in parallel. By dividing the work while checking the remaining usage of each service and their initialization times, I was able to avoid overusing one side's limit and significantly reduced additional costs.
I remember that Google AI Pro, which I signed up for to use Gemini, cost around 30,000 won per month, or about 300,000 won per year. I chose it because it also included 5TB of storage space shared with Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail.
As I continued to use Codex, Claude, and Gemini, it became cumbersome to constantly check the remaining usage and initialization times for each service.
So, I created CCMB (Codex & Claude Meter Bar), which allows you to check the usage of the three services at a glance from the Mac menu bar.
CCMB works on macOS 10.15 or later. Since it uses Codex CLI, Claude Code, and Gemini's Antigravity CLI already installed and logged in on your Mac, you don't need to enter any separate API keys into CCMB.
CCMB does not have any separate servers operated by it or telemetry for analysis. The confirmed usage can be saved in a local JSON file on the user's Mac, so you can ask other Codex tasks "Tell me the remaining usage."
