These days I'm adding Apple Intelligence to the apps I'm making.
DKST Markdown Browser, which views and edits Markdown, supports document writing with sentence improvement, translation, and writing.
DKST Wikiviewer, a viewer for Wiki encyclopedia ZIM archives, etc., provides summaries and quizzes using Apple Intelligence.
DKST Text Flow, which focuses on text snippets, also uses sentence improvement, translation, writing, summarization, and more.
The context length is only 4096 on mobile, which is a shame...
And it doesn't get much smarter on desktop, so it's useful for one-time assistance.
If you understand its nature and place it appropriately in your app,
users can use it right away without connecting to an LLM server or API,
and the advantage of on-device operation is not small.
If you are developing apps for the Apple ecosystem, consider the Apple Foundation model!
