I tried to work without AI as much as possible, but today I wrote 2 won per character.

Initially, it was made as an attempt to create a world map of characters based on strokes, just like Kim Jung-ho's project to write all the characters in the world by hand. But...

Isn't my handwriting pretty? Making a font was easy, but making handwriting for machines that can be used everywhere, such as x-y plotters, laser engraving, and embroidery, is difficult because there are no standard fonts. I thought it would be fun to do something like this in my old age... and started making it...

It's nothing special, but it took up a lot of my time. Aligning the characters wasn't difficult, but the biggest challenge was the thinness of the strokes. I decided to interpolate them later. Since each font has its own methodology, which is the difference in layout created by each person's handwriting, I decided to solve this problem by creating 100 A fonts.

I didn't intend to create TTF or OTF, but because I changed the font system, it has more freedom than a regular font. If you write the letter "Ga" about 100 times and randomly adjust the letters to a similar size, you can preserve the unique handwriting of a human.

English fonts are easy, but Korean fonts are difficult. As you know, if you create all 11,172 characters and multiply them by about 100, the system will... So I implemented it in a completely different way and decided to use only what was necessary in Korean.

I implemented all the stroke animation information for broadcast subtitles and am currently working on implementing the pressure sensitivity of tablets. Since the purpose is more about application than technology, I implement all of Hangul within 83 KB. *100 wouldn't be much.

If this is used in e-books, countless lines can be used with different voices and sound effects. This is because the handwriting can be transformed by interpolating strokes as messages.

If stroke data can be converted into a message format, it is very suitable for implementing dynamic text animation that responds to the emotional line of dialogue (shaking when angry, thinning when whispering) or audio volume/pitch.

I was working on something like this and now it's becoming visible. ㅠㅠ I never dreamed it would take more than 3 years, and now I'm going to use AI to help with the design. ㅠㅠ
