It seems like Nvidia has been very active lately.
With the US economy and interest rates being unstable, there's growing concern about Nvidia's moves.
Putting aside whether Nvidia is actually operating or not, I hope that nothing bad happens due to factors like long-term US Treasury bond yields or other conditions acting as a trigger.
Nvidia in Talks to Invest in Perplexity at Over $30 Billion Valuation - The Information Reports
Nvidia (NVDA) is reportedly in discussions to invest in Perplexity at a valuation of over $30 billion, according to The Information, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The report said this investment round would increase Perplexity's valuation by more than 50% from its previous funding round a year ago.
According to the report, Perplexity's annualized revenue has increased from under $250 million at the beginning of this year to over $750 million. Citing sources familiar with the matter, the report added that part of the revenue growth is attributed to Perplexity Computer, a cloud-based AI agent used by professionals to automate computer-based tasks.
Nvidia is already an investor, and Perplexity agreed last July to use Nvidia's new Vera CPU for agent workload execution. Other major investors in this startup include Amazon (AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos and Japan's SoftBank Group (SFTBY).
