When using AI Agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor
at some point, SKILL.md files start accumulating one by one.
The problem is that managing skills becomes quite cumbersome as you accumulate more.
It's difficult to find which skills exist
It's tedious to reinstall on different PCs
Different Agents like Claude Code and Codex have different installation paths
Sharing skills within teams is also awkward.
SkillMaru is the tool that makes managing this more convenient.

In short,
think of it as a package repository for searching, installing, and sharing skills for AI Agents.
Usage is.. simple.
First, install it,
npm install -g @cookyman/skillmaru
then log in,
skillmaru login --registry https://skillmaru.hell0world.net
search for the skill you need.
skillmaru search api
And install the skill you want.
skillmaru install @my-team/api-convention \
--agent claude-code --agent codex --scope project
Then it will automatically install to the location used by Claude Code and Codex.
That is,
"Where should I put this skill?"
you no longer need to think about this directly.
It's especially convenient when using multiple Agents together.
Currently supported installation profiles are quite diverse.

For Agents not on the supported list, you can also specify the installation path directly with --dir.
It's even more useful when used in teams.
Skills can be organized by namespace and managed on a team basis,
skillmaru publish ./skills/api-convention \
--namespace my-team \
--visibility namespace-only
those who need them can receive and use only the relevant skills.
And since skills are essentially instructions delivered to AI Agents, security is also important.
SkillMaru has a structure that inspects published skill versions and can defer automatic release for review if issues are suspected.
