I am a senior, and I have been using Claude Code Max for about a year.
Since 4.8 the answers have become so slow that I am having a hard time.
My main work is mostly IoT device firmware.
That is nearly finished.
What comes next is the key. Frontend and backend work for a service website and membership management planning look set to be the main tasks.
I will also try integrating with platforms on the market such as Zapier and n8n.
Members will probably number around a thousand.
Claude has done well so far, but as the development target moves from devices to the web, it feels like I am standing at a crossroads.
Claude has strengths in the backend, but my backend is on the simple side, so another AI could probably build it just fine.
They say Claude is weak on aesthetic sense, so it will likely be weak on the frontend. And somehow it seems weak at emotionally driven planning too.
Above all, Claude spends a lot of time on its answers. And its answers feel far too full of needless worry.
If you were to recommend another AI, what would be good?
Codex? Kimi? GLM?
I would appreciate a comparative recommendation from someone who has used Claude.
