Indonesia Investment·Downstream Industry Sector (BKPM) Minister Rosan Roeslani and Saudi Arabia Investment Minister Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif signed an investment cooperation MOU in Jeddah. The agreement aims to promote investment, exchange information, facilitate cooperation between private companies, and foster the exchange of experts to expand direct investment between the two countries. Both countries plan to expand strategic industry investments and private company cooperation based on the MOU.
Saudi Arabia's direct investment in Indonesia from 2021 to the first half of 2026 amounted to approximately Rp2.28 trillion (US$126 million). The two countries are expected to expand cooperation in high value-added industries, manufacturing, infrastructure, renewable energy, logistics, real estate, and digital technology. Rosan Minister expressed his hope for strengthened economic cooperation through investment expansion, job creation, and technology transfer.
