
The International Council of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) parliamentary delegation, led by Rep. Kaiho Lee, along with Reps. Seongbum Shin and Hongchul Min, visited Jakarta. They held a luncheon meeting with representatives from the Korean community, the Korea Chamber of Commerce Indonesia (KCCI), the Korea Small and Medium Business Association in Indonesia (KOSMA), the Energy Resources Council, and officials from companies and organizations that have entered the Indonesian market.
Participants shared information on Indonesian political and economic trends. They also discussed challenges faced by Korean businesses in Indonesia and matters that Indonesian-entering companies should be aware of, exchanging opinions.
Ambassador Soonku Yoon comprehensively explained the Indonesian economic situation. He outlined key cooperation areas such as defense industry, shipbuilding, and nuclear power plants, presented plans to revitalize infrastructure investment, and proposed strategies for expanding Korean agricultural products, food, and other exports to Indonesia using Hallyu (Korean Wave). He also addressed visa issues and emphasized the importance of collaboration between Korean companies, institutions, and the Korean community in Indonesia. Ambassador Yoon stressed the need for continued attention and support from the National Assembly of Korea and highlighted the necessity of cooperation with the Indonesian Parliament.
