I am in my 50s and four months in.
I have a question about the direction of my next stage of training! (1,600m of elevation gain completed)
I am in my 50s, four months in, learning to ride with Gemini (AI) as my teacher.
Riding hard has raised some questions, so I am leaving a post to seek the valuable advice of more experienced riders.
My current physical condition and equipment situation are as follows.
Age / specs: 50s / 173cm / 59kg
Bike: 2017 Trek Emonda (upgraded carbon wheels, complete bike weight about 7.5kg)
Recent ride record:
110km non-stop / 1,640m of elevation gain completed (Strava capture attached)
Moving time 4 hours 55 minutes / average speed 22.4km/h / average cadence 80rpm
I rode distributing my heart rate across Zones 2~4, and thankfully there was no great damage the next day.
Having just entered my fourth month, it seems my aerobic engine is gradually being built,
and I am wondering what training or supplementary work would help me grow one step further from here.
Studying and riding on my own, I badly need the real-world experience and know-how of senior riders.
Even a small piece of advice is welcome, so I would be grateful if each of you left a word!
May you always ride safely and enjoy every good fortune. Thank you!
Thank you in advance.
