The government has postponed the imposition of Income Tax Article 22 for marketplace traders until October 31, 2026. Tokopedia and Shopee have committed to returning income tax that was previously withheld from trader transactions. The refund will be done automatically by both platforms, with an estimated deadline of September 30, 2026. Traders do not need to take any action and can track the refund process through their respective accounts. Blibli has also stopped collecting Income Tax Article 22 but is still waiting for official directions from the Directorate General of Taxes regarding the tax return mechanism.
