Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan have signed a joint defense agreement known as the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement". Turkey hopes that Egypt will join this alliance because it considers Egypt a strategic partner. The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that the agreement is not directed at any particular country and aims to increase regional stability. This defense pact states that an attack on one member will be considered an attack on all members. Turkey plans to expand this alliance by involving other countries in the future.
