My old home server broke down, so I put together a new one with various parts.
The specifications are as follows:
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2650L V4 (65w, 14 cores 28 threads)
RAM: 64GB (DDR4-2400)
M/B: CS612 2011-V3 M/B Nas mATX (Chinese board)
Case: Jonsbo N6
HDD: 4TB Nas x2 , 8TB Nas x2
SSD: SATA3 512GB, NVME 512GB
VGA: Geforce GT710 (NoFan)
SystemFan: Arctic P12 Pro PWM x1, Arctic P12 Slim PWM x2
CPU Cooler: 잘만 CNP9X OPTIMA II ARGB
I was trying to find a used Asrock X99M mATX or ASUS X99-M WS/SE mATX motherboard,
but I couldn't find one. OTL
So I just chose a Chinese motherboard. ㅠㅠ
I'm struggling with the OS. I have a Windows Server 2022 key, so should I go with that..
Or proxmox or unraid..
I'm planning to use it as a home server & development server, and I might also run some VMs..
If anyone has any experience, please share your opinion. ㅠㅠ
