On August 3rd, Bloomberg threw another curveball at the Korean market.
'South Korea Is Becoming Uninvestable, Too'
The title is harsh, but the content doesn't seem wrong.
The biggest loss is that we can't expect proper foreign investment unless the volatility of the Korean market is resolved.
Even if individual companies perform well, there are limits to changing their perspective. I really hope the government will reflect and come up with a proper countermeasure before it's too late.
Personally, I hope that when 3Q earnings are released around the end of September and ants who have been disappointed in the market start to feel better, things will improve.
However, ultimately, to stabilize stock prices, we need both ant sentiment and foreign investment. I am skeptical whether we will be able to see 8,000 or 9,000 this year, let alone next year.
Considering that it took about 3 to 5 years for the bottom to be hit and then return to the previous high in the past, I am worried that we will have to wait another 3 years.
Or maybe we should be grateful for the opportunity to buy at low prices for a long time during this prolonged slump.
