Hello!
Recently, cavities have been developing at a very fast pace, so I've been reflecting on what has changed lately since I started cycling as a hobby.
Actually, there are many studies that show athletes in aerobic sports often develop cavities and gum inflammation, and swimmers experience tooth erosion due to pool water.
The reason is sugar. I used to carry two water bottles filled with maltodextrin and crystalline fructose while doing high-intensity riding frequently. When my mouth became dry and my oral cavity dehydrated, the problem stemmed from pouring sugar into that situation. Everyone, please rinse your mouth with water after taking power gels or sugar supplements :)
Everyone, please be careful of the heat and have a good evening :)
